Thai Basil is a great choice when your tongue wants a little spice. I had the Pineapple Curry with chicken. We shared a pot of Lemon Ginger tea. Service was fast and friendly. I dinged a couple of points because the chicken was slightly overcooked (but still tasty) and parking is not easy. But if you frequent Black Mountain you already know that. Those are minor quibbles. Would definitely come here again!

Excellent experience at the Thai Basil! Before coming, I was perusing google maps for a Thai spot. Based on a few reviews I was a little worried that Thai Basil may not be as good as it once was, but I can’t imagine it being any better than this! I am probably a once a week pad Thai consumer, and THIS was one of the top 2 I have ever had. We also got a Thai tea, it was HUGE! It was a little too sweet at first but I really think the server was actually thinking ahead and accounting for the ice melting because it was PERFECT after a few minutes! Highly recommend this place!

I had the chicken low mien. it was absolutely amazing. My husband had the house Pho. He said it was excellent. They had some good beef on it. Yet they did add 4 big chunks of Tofu. He was not happy about that. We will eat here again. the staff was amazing.

This was some of the best Thai food my family has ever had. All six of us agreed every dish we had was amazing. The pineapple fried rice was the crowd favorite for sure! The service was amazing and they were so friendly! We would definitely recommend eating here.

Sweet taste of Thailand in the mountains. Our meals were all very fresh and flavorful and great care taken to presentation. The recipes are slightly different flavoring than what I have tasted before but that is to be expected at a restaurant that isn’t a big chain. Staff was very helpful and very friendly. Restaurant was clean and neat. We ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, pineapple fried rice, and kee mow.

Lunch on 11/29 was fantastic! Many gluten free options. Authentic Thai! Tom Kha soup was so tasty. Our service was stellar! Thanks, we'll be back!

I would give a 5-star if could have told us about the credit surcharge fee in advance. The brick outdoor patio gives exactly the vibe of restaurants in Thai. Red curry with roasted duck, duck is crispy without any gamey flavor which is not easy to my own experiences, though red curry reduced its spicy level to satisfy most customers. Mango sticky rice, an Iconic Thai dessert, is great as well, soft moist rice with heavy coconut milk. Fried rice is full of fry smoky smell which is liked by most Asians as a high-quality fried rice.
